“Architecture in a Permanent State of Construction.”
At a time when workspaces tend to soften, conceal, and domesticate the reality of the companies they house, the offices of SESTEL Builders propose the opposite: a direct, almost radical exposure of their own nature.
The project does not seek to represent construction.
It incorporates it.
From its conception, the space is envisioned as a literal translation of the language of construction into a habitable environment. Scaffolding, by definition a temporary element, is stripped of its transient condition to become a permanent system. Not as an aesthetic gesture, but as a structural, functional, and conceptual decision.
The metal grid organizes the space, defines the furniture, and constructs the envelope. Tables, shelving, and structures share the same DNA: an assembled, precise, repetitive system where each joint responds to a known, almost industrial logic.
There is no artifice.
Nothing is concealed.
The space reveals itself exactly as it is built.
In contrast, concrete introduces mass, density, and silence. It acts as a counterpoint to the lightness of galvanized steel, balancing the system with a mineral presence that anchors the project both physically and perceptually.
Lighting, resolved through suspended linear elements, does not compete with the structure but accompanies it. It traces its geometry, emphasizes its repetition, and reinforces the reading of the whole as a continuous system.
The introduction of spy mirrors adds a more complex dimension. Far from functioning solely as a visual device, these elements generate an ambiguous relationship between the space and its occupants. They reflect, filter, and conceal, constructing a narrative in which perception is never complete.
One can observe without being seen.
One can exist without being fully revealed.
This tension between what is exposed and what is hidden amplifies the experience of the space, moving it beyond a strictly functional reading.
The result is a space that does not merely host an activity, but materializes it. Where architecture and identity cease to be independent layers and become one and the same.
SESTEL Builders does not work in construction.
It is construction.
