La Rovina

"When I die it will be a good time to stop playing, because that's when God tells you that you should moderate yourself", Lemmy Kilmister, Motörhead

The vermouth shop is located on a forgotten corner of the city, with a facade that has seen better days. Originally constructed from robust, solid stone, its exterior has been covered with decorative metal mesh giving it a contemporary and artistic look. Through the mesh one can see the stones have been worn by time, creating an interesting contrast thanks to the passage of time, the influence of natural light and LED lighting.

Upon crossing the threshold, the first thing that catches your attention is the towering long bar, which extends the length of the premises. This bar has been handcrafted by a sandwich system with a rough and robust stone base which provides a feeling of robustness and deterioration, interspersed with its illuminated glass top surface, emitting a soft and welcoming glow that highlights the geometry within itself. A layer of shiny metal and a mirror effect finishes on top of it, giving a special reflection.

The interior walls have been accentuated showing signs of wear with peeling paint and exposed brick, complemented by the aged metal that adorns the windows and doors, adding a transgressive and melancholic air to the place. The metal tables and chairs, some with worn varnish, add an indescribable charm to the environment.

Another outstanding element is the handmade artisanal lighting. Unique, handmade lamps hang on metal grate sheets that project a warm, soft light, creating an intriguing play of shadows on the deteriorated walls and the multi-material bar. These metal grate sheets not only serve as a support, but also provide an industrial and modern touch that integrates perfectly with the rest of the decoration.

Old bottles, vintage posters and conceptual art, adorn the vertical walls and shelves, completing the atmosphere of a vermouth shop that seems to resist the passage of time with dignity and nostalgia. The combination of materials in the central bar, together with the decorative metal mesh on the exterior facade and the artisanal lighting on metal grate sheets, give the establishment a unique character that mixes the old with the contemporary, attracting curious people and lovers of places with history and disruptive design.
